Whether it's a clicking hard drive, a dead SSD, a failed RAID array or a laptop that won't boot — our Perth lab recovers data calmly, carefully, and with an honest assessment up front.
From a single deleted folder to a multi-disk RAID failure — here's what our Perth data recovery specialists work on every week.
“We recover data other shops give up on — and we'll always tell you the honest odds before you spend a cent on the recovery itself.”— The Computer Mechanics data recovery team, Perth
Data loss is stressful. Our job is to make the recovery part simple and honest.
The moment you realise data is lost, stop using the device. Call us — we'll talk you through protecting it before it arrives.
We talk through what happened. Drop the device to our Perth lab or post it in. An $85 inspection fee covers the assessment.
We assess the failure, tell you the real recovery odds, and send a written quote. Nothing proceeds without your go-ahead.
We carefully recover your files and return them on fresh media. We securely wipe our working copies once you have your data.
Your files are handled by named local technicians — never shipped offshore, never treated as just another job.

The questions we hear most when someone's just realised their data is gone.
Data recovery pricing depends entirely on the device and the type of failure — a logically deleted file is very different from a hard drive with crashed heads. We charge an $85 inspection fee to assess the drive, then give you a written quote before any recovery work begins. You'll always know the price before we proceed.
Often yes — but a clicking hard drive needs you to stop using it immediately. Clicking usually means the read/write heads have failed and are contacting the platters. Every power-on causes more damage. Power it off, bring it to our Perth lab, and we'll assess whether the heads can be replaced and the data recovered.
Stop using the device. Don't reinstall the operating system, don't run recovery software repeatedly, don't keep power-cycling a failing drive, and don't let a wet drive sit and corrode. Every one of those reduces the odds. Power it down and contact our Perth data recovery team — the sooner the better.
Yes. SSDs fail differently to mechanical drives — controller failures, firmware corruption and worn NAND cells. Recovery is more specialised but very possible. Bring your SSD or NVMe drive to our Perth lab for assessment.
The sooner you stop using a failing device, the better your recovery odds. Talk to a real Perth data recovery specialist today.
